Navajo basket. Shallow, bowl-shaped, with a multi-rod construction. It has a natural tan background with a large, 8-point star in the center that extends up the sides. The edge of the basket is surrounded by black zigzag design. The rim is finished in a herringbone-stitch with a leather cord attached near the rim. CU Museum tag says, " U.s.. NM or AZ, early 1900's, late 1800's."
